Birthday Special - Part 1

I thought it might be too shagged to do a birthday special post altogether so I decided to split it into 2.

2nd July 08.
I kicked start the "celebrations" with Yuanpin @ Fish and Co,AMK Hub. (Jason so "hate" me when I always go Fish and Co with my friends but not him. I always didn't wanna go Fish and Co whenever he said he wanna eat. Lol.)


Yuanpin.

Yuanpin told me he has a good news to share with me. I apprehend good news to come in only 2 forms. Promotion or got a girlfriend.

Instead he told me...

"我要做爸爸了。"

O_O!!!

Without thinking, I just give him the 'yea right' face and ask him to quit fooling around la.
He insisted that he was serious and can even give me a very calm look. That was when I knew he wasn't joking. Still inside my head, I wish he was joking and keep on asking him NOT to bluff me.
When we stepped in Fish and Co, he even related to me the girl he is gonna get marry with, who and what kinda gal she is, her name, her occupation, family etc. He told me that I should be happy for him and anyhow he is prepared and ready to settle down anytime.

I slowly sinked into belief and despite not able to accept that, I still feel happy for him. I mean...If he is ready to be a father and get married, why should I be worried about the possibilities of a unhappy family?

Then he told me it's a joke.
I almost flew my fork to his forehead. -_-

After calming down a lil, he told me it's the truth lah. So there we go again~Duh.

Orders taken and just before food came, he said...It's really a joke and broke into big laughters.

I am hence labelled the biggest fool in the whole AMK hub that night.
Yuanpin said I was like the Hulk lo! Wth.Haha. Cos' my eyes turned reddish(must be the contact lens) when he first told me the news. After calming down, he told me it's not a joke again, my eyes turned reddish again.
Got meh??? #$#$#@!@!#

Anyway he gave me a big Le Coq Sportif tote. He wanted to buy it first cos' he thought it was very me but decided to seek my opinion before buying.
I didn't want to him to buy it honestly.
But it might be actually rude to reject a friend's thoughts so I gratefully accept it.
Indeed that kinda bag is very me and I heartx!

We went to Mcdonald to chill a lil when I decided to get even.
He wanted to take photo of me but of cos' I get away with more shots.


My SE hp is much faster. Hehe.

I saw Kungfu Panda poster and insisted that he should pose one like Po.

After some cheering, he finally relented to do one in Mcdonald for the bday gal to be.

After lotsa jokes and laughter, we headed home.

4th July o8

I made this dinner appointment with Fyn since almost a month back. Haha.
It all started when I was watching 省钱王2 and they were introducing about this italian restaurant @ Lichfield road.
Kuku me didn't rem' the name of the restaurant and only rem' it's @ Lichfield road.


Finally the day arrived so happy me,Fyn,Benson & Jason visited the restaurant. Heng there is only one Italian restaurant at Lichfield, if not how to find? Haha.

It was a relatively avg size restaurant @ those estates area.

The 4 of us took sometime to consider our food options. I won't say it's is very cheap but it's not super duper expensive lah.

After some long consideration, we finally ordered the following. Don't ask me the names hor, I forgot all liao.

No..We didn't ordered the garlic bread. It was on the house and ...

It didn't tasted as good as it looks. We kinda suspected that those breads are recycled. Cos' we didn't finish those given to us after taking one a piece. We didn't see them throwing away either. Groans.....We could be eating recycled bread hence explained the taste of it as well!

Moving on...the main dishes we ordered to share.

If you ask which is the best outta 4, I would give it to the worse looking dish.

That greenish throwout lookalike is the italine risotti(however it's spelt) with some spinach and sort. It smelt really good and tasted as good as it smells. Benson kept saying it tasted like Sour and Cream Lays chips. Haha.

We had a great chat that night. Benson was relating about his Vietnam trip, Fyn & I blahed a lil about work and her last interview, the boys talk about the ERP and made jokes outta it etc~~

A fun filled night and just a lil difficulty is finishing the whole 4 main dishes.

Oh...Forgot to mention...Fyn & Benson gave me a present too. I have no idea what's inside the box cos I plan to open it only on my birthday itself. Thanks so much,guys~I heartx u 2.

How can we foot the bill without trying the desserts in a newly ventured restaurant? Their dessert list consists of very few selections and the surprising thing is alot of their desserts in the menu are N.A. Wth?

Nonethless we made do with the 2 availables.

When this small choco cupcake lookalike arrived, we were all filled with question marks.That doesn't resembles anything we saw in the menu and is that a cupcake or what??

Only when we decided to sink our teeth in, we realised it's actually ice-cream! Choco icecream filled with choco dust on the outta layer and some sugar power as decor. In the core(ok..not exactly centre) of the choco ice cream is vanilla.

And there is this lava cake something. The vanilla ice cream has a lemon refreshing taste and the warm choco cake with choco sauce flowing out. Ok..I personally think the cake could be warmer so that the sauce aka the lave could really ooze out.

Decor for the desserts wise is so so nia.

Finally we finished everything and I ask them to rate the overall of this restaurant.

And 3 stars. My kuku face cos I was still considering to give it a 2.5 stars. Haha.

So you have 12.5 stars outta 20 for this Buono Pizza Bar. A good for a first time try, I guess.

Ps...By the time I reach typing 5th July, around 2 hours is gone. It may be pretty short when it comes to reading but posting it up takes alot of efforts!!

My intentions is to treat Jason's families to Waffletown!! I heard it's one of the dating hunts for his aunties and it is good to just let them relive the good old taste.

Before the evening, I intend to watch...

NO!!I didnt intend to watch because of Jin Cheng Wu or Tony Leung. Please lah...I am not even really interested in their faces and is over those kinda age liao.

I wanted to watch cos I thought it is interesting and I know a lil of the Han Dynasty ok? I know who is Zhou Yu,not just Zhang Fei, Zhu geliang,Liu bei and Guan Yu ok? Hmph!

When Jason went to collect the tickets, I thought I heard some weird name that the ticket staff said "2 tickets for...." I never give it much thought and thought it could be the english name of the show.

I happily go in the theaters and prepared myself for some history good chinese flicks....When the show starts with 2 ULTRA cute Golden retriever puppies sucking milk from a mama retriever.

I still turned to ask Jason if we stepped to the wrong theater and I seriously thought when the film rolls, it is still trailer for the Ten promises to my dog.

That's when Jason laughed saying that that show only starts on the 11 July and it was only then I realised I am watching..

Argghh...super cute!!!

Kuku-kuku me still took that photo (refer above) and didn't realised the wording saying Starts 11th July. -.-

Haha..I can only say I cried like shite in the movie though I tried so hard to control.

I always like Golden Retreivers! They have the most awwwwww pair of eyes. I just wonder if I will ever,ever,EVER have a golden retriever??

Btw...Junction 8's foodcourt is so much better after the renovation.

Jason took away my handphone when I went to look what I wanna eat. He returned me and I still did not realise that he added that to my phone till very much later in the evening.

He said it was real crystals and it costs $89.90! I was looking at that and think if it really costs that much! He insisted it really only to say it costs $4.95 at the end of the night when I still ask if it costs that much,really. In between he told me it costs $13.90 and $4.90 and trust me, till now I still didn't know which is the truth lo!

Anyway~Thank you soo much,dear for all the pleasant surprises!!

Welcome to the actual Bt Timah where the rich asses live.

Waffletown is just a small old eatery and it really kinda stinks of fried oil inside. Very basic and simple layout but still,people like it there. Guess it's the kinda feeling and of cos' those waffles.

They have basic fried stuff,mainly chicken like a fast food restaurants. But their fried chickens are much,much better than the over seasoned and cold KFC. Very tender and just simply nice.

My disfigured cakes bought by the aunties. So funny,can?

Think I must enlarged the pic a lil. That's their waffle. Single scoope,double scoope, plain, fruits and even ham & egg. Yum!

Present: 4th aunt & her family. 6th aunt & her family. 7th aunt & her family. Jason and his mum. I just like the kinda warm family feel that they give!

Of cos' I received presents too!!!^^ That is never my intention when I meet these group of people to eat hor.

Thank you so much. I just feel very blessed to know each and every of you.

I will take a pic of all those presents I received on my bday or perhaps the day after it.

So week 1 is over. Next up I have my dear Evelyn, my poly lovelies and Ming. Of cos...Jason and my family!
